Nick Campbell plays the electric bass. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and like most members of the city’s bountiful music scene he spent the majority of his youth in the annals of music education. It was here that Campbell developed his unique penchant for superimposing triadic patterns over static harmony (commonly referred to as “getting modal”).

My Two Cents on Two Knobs
In my early music production studies, before I knew what all the knobs did, I was easily wowed by the technology in the studio. The obvious advantage of a pedal with many knobs is that you can see all (or most) possible parameter controls and their current settings. I was skeptical when Brian first introduced the two knob concept for ILLUMINE.
